Brynmawr & District Museum is located in the highest town in Wales. The museum can be found over two floors in the old Carnegie Library.
Car Parking
There is a small car park located to the back of the museum, as well as a few other small car parks dotted within walking distance of the museum.
Disabled Access
The museum is spread out over two floors, disabled access is to the ground floor only.
Rail & Bus Links
The town's main bus station is within 2 minutes walking distance from the museum with regular buses arriving and leaving for destinations nationwide. The nearest train stations are found in either Abergavenny (8 miles away - more frequent services) or Ebbw Vale (3 miles away - least frequent services).
The museum is totally dependant on donations, and fundraising. We hold a coffee morning every Thursday: 08:30 -12:00 noon, where everybody is welcome. It allows us to meet up informally and have a 'cuppa' whilst reliving the days gone by.
There is a small range of Brynmawr related items available for sale.
